Dear Friend,

I  want you to know that many of the things that I write and speak about represent a collection of experiences and applications that God has been teaching me for the last several decades of life, ministry and leadership development.

I’m sure each of you can relate to many of the stories, illustrations and insights that I talk about because at one time or another they’ve probably happened to you as well.  The longer you’re in leadership the more stories you’ll accumulate, and the more Lessons you will learn.

Ministry and Leadership aren’t  jobs they’re callings, and with any calling there needs to be passion. I don’t know about you but when I’m passionate about something I go after it with all I’ve got.  That’s a good quality for sure, but it also means that many times in my headlong zeal to fulfill my calling I make bone-headed choices, stupid decisions and downright dumb calls.

I’m learning Lessons all the time. Lessons about God, Lessons about me, Lessons about the Church, Lessons about Christians, Lessons about the world and on and on it goes.  The Lessons never stop, it’s what I do with the learnings that’s the key.

So, as you browse this site, read some of my writings, contemplate visiting our church (locally or virtually as we grow our online presence),  just know that the ministry I offer comes from a guy who is right there with you.  I’m a  guy who loves God and loves His People.

I don’t have it all figured out, I make mistakes all the time, but fortunately God in His gracious mercy has allowed me to process some things in a way that will hopefully serve as an encouragement to you that everything you learn and experience in Life, ministry and leadership is for a reason, and has a deeper purpose for you and the ones you reach.

God still chooses to use us, young and old to fulfill His purposes, the question is “are we ready and willing to Learn and apply what He desires from the lessons He sends?”

Learning, Reflecting and Applying with you,

Brent
